Great size closet. Drawers are small can't hold much more than socks and under wear. This is not a long term piece of furniture. Once you set it up if you need to move it to another place may not make it. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: A particle board product, By Scott Wood (Florida) - See all my reviews This review is from: Beginnings Oregon Oak Jumbo Wardrobe/Storage Cabinet Oregon Oak Finish (Office Product) I purchased this wardrobe from a site other than amazon to save a few bucks. Anyone who has ever owned a bookshelf or any other piece of furniture made from particle board will probably know what to expect. Particle board products are nowhere near the most stable or durable, and getting flushed edges can be near impossible. This wardrobe is no exception. My wardrobe is sitting on a laminated tile floor and all it takes is a poke of the finger to make it wobble. The top of the right side door is about an inch higher than the left side door, and due to the flimsy construct, I gave up on trying to get the flushed. All in all though, it does what it needs to do; store things. If this was made of solid wood, it would be a lot sturdier and not look like a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces weren't fitting properly. The back is just the thick cardboard, most of the holes are pre-drilled, and once it's together, it's not supposed to get moved much. That being said, it's a nice piece. It has a clean look to it, and the hinges are metal. It comes with an anti-tip L-bracket to mount the top to your wall if you have small children or want to minimize the "wobble" another customer was talking about. Also, it is part of an entire line of furniture from Sauder, so you can buy other size cabinets or shelves that match, which is nice. I would've given it five stars except for two things: 1-it is short. At just under 6' tall, most wardrobes are taller than this. It's not especially strong, but I plan to put light shelving or storage boxes on top of it to take advantage of the lost space. 2-it looks good enough for being a laminate product, but it's look is cheapened by shiny flimsy plastic handles. I went to the home improvement... Read more |
